The Beach Girl 5’s opening number during the Ashely Tisdale concert on August 15 was a total blast! Tisdale’s concert by itself was a total blast, but this opening number blew the audience’s socks off. We found out that Beach Girl 5 is headed by Mandy Jiroux, the 21-year-old who was until recently one of the backup dancers for Miley Cyrus (at the Miley and Mandy show) and a BFF of the singer besides.

The other girls who comprise the group are Brooke Adams, Dominique Domingo, Noreen Juliano and Laura New. The girls definitely have their moves set and the crowd enjoyed them!

The group’s producer, Antonina Armato says that the Beach Girl5 are truly breakout stars and that fans agree on this as well. The group is trying to carve a niche for itself between the Disney “tween” music genre and the Pussycat Dolls type of music. Their music combines a certain youthful, positive energy, independence and sexiness at the same time.

This fall, a new face will be hitting the music scene when Mandy Jiroux who was formerly one of Miley Cyrus’ backup dancers, will be striking it out on her own and heading her own group.

Yes, that’s right! She will be heading her very own girl group called the Beach Girl 5. Twenty-one year old Mandy told E! News that this is the first tour (of Miley’s) that she will not be on. “Kind of a bummer,” she says, “But the big picture for me is to not be in the background anymore.”

And true to her word, she will be more than just in the foreground this time. As it turns out, Miley’s BFF is a singer in her own right as well.

Indeed, Mandy is more than just a fly on the wall. But you will see her again! Mandy tells E! that on Saturday she and Miley made their first YouTube video in over three months and will upload it “very soon,” adding, “Miley and Mandy Show will never die.”

But even then, she won’t be seen partying and singing with Miley all across the USA for a while yet!
